My first 2 Farmer’s Wife Sampler blocks

This is my third attempt at making these blocks for the Farmer’s Wife Sampler quilt.  First attempt using Rotary cut method: I didn’t measure correctly and cut most of the blocks too small.  Second attempt using Foundation Paper piecing method: again I didn’t measure & cut the fabric correctly so they were too small.  Third time’s the charm as below are my first two Farner’s Wife Sampler blocks.  So happy with the way they turned out even though I have a little doubt about fabric choices for Block 1.  Hopefully it will go well with the rest of the FWS blocks :).

I purchased my copy of the Farmer’s Wife Sampler Quilt book from the Book Depository.  I found they had the cheapest price that included postage to Australia.  If you would like to buy a copy, here is a link to the Farmer’s Wife Sampler Quilt book.

These blocks were made using Carol Doaks Foundation Paper purchased at Book Depository.
